Description
Learning to speak Arabic can actually be enjoyable and fun! The SimplyArabic Conversational course has been specially designed for those who wish to acquire a basic proficiency in spoken Arabic. The course imparts basic communicative skills in spoken Arabic and covers basic conversational topics for everyday situations from airport to hotel, eating to clothing, restaurant to shopping and more.
The course provides conversational practices with important phrases and words that are commonly used by tourists, business travellers and people dealing with Arab travellers and visitors (e.g. sales and retail staff). In just over 1 month the participant will learn enough Arabic phrases and words to conduct typical conversations with confidence. This Basic Conversational course is conducted over 10 lessons.

Course Requirement
No knowledge, exposure or familiarity to the Arabic language is required. Although this is a short course, it is important that the student has an interest to learn about the Arabic language, either for personal reasons (e.g. travel, etc) or otherwise (e.g. business, etc). Students completing this course may then pursue the SimplyArabic Conversational (Intermediate) or SimplyArabic Beginners courses.

- Individuals who are beginning an interest in learning the Arabic language.
- Individuals who plan to travel to an Arabic-speaking country (e.g. Saudi Arabia, Syria, Qatar, etc)
- Business professionals who are in liaisons with Arabic speakers, as the skills learned will enhance the association.
- Company staff that will be stationed in an Arabic speaking country or region.
- Retail staff who regularly or intermittently service Arabic-speaking clients.

The Teachers
Mohamed Lamchichi
Mohamed Lamchichi was born in Morocco and graduated with a Degree in Arabic Literature from University Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah (Morocco). He is of the lineage of Prophet Muhammad, salallahu alaihi wasallam, and a direct descendant of a Abd as-Salam ibn Mashish, rahmatullah alaihi (d. 1227 AD), a grand saint from Morocco. Ustaz Mohamed Lamchichi is married to a Singaporean citizen. He is a full-time staff with SimplyIslam.sg as its Arabic Language Consultant. He conducts Arabic language courses – Conversational, Beginners, Intermediate and Advance. He also conducts translation and interpretation assignments. While Arabic is his native language, he is also proficient with English and French.
Ustaz Muhammad Salleh
Ustaz Muhammad Salleh is a graduate of Madrasah Aljunied Al-Islamiah and has completed his full-time pre-university studies at the madrasah. He also studied at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is an accredited Asatizah (religious teacher) certified by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore and the Asatizah Recognition Board, and currently teach at SimplyIslam’s weekend Islamic school. He is working full-time with SimplyIslam as its Arabic Language Coordinator and regularly conducts translation and interpretation assignments for Arab trainees in Singapore. He is also an expert on Prophetic healing and medicine and regularly conducts the popular “Prophetic Healing” course at SimplyIslam. He is proficient in Arabic, English and Malay.
