About Shaykh Hisham Kabbani
Born into an eminent family of religious scholars in Beirut, Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Al-Kabbani is a world renowned Muslim scholar, author, and lecturer. He is the Chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America. His mission is to spread the peaceful and beautiful Islamic teachings and the Unity of belief in Allah. His arduous spiritual training of 40 years has endowed him with the sublime qualities of wisdom, light, intellect and compassion. SimplyIslam.sg is organising a majlis entitled As-Shafa’ah Al-Kubra - A Morning of Divine Devotions on Sunday 24 August 2008. Insha’Allah, the eminent Shaykh Hisham Kabbani and other Islamic scholars and personalities will be gracing the majlis, and the programme includes the following:
- Congregational Recitation of Surah Yasin led by Ustaz Abu Zaki Yusuf
- Lectures by Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, Ustaz Mohamed Iqbal Abdullah, Ustaz TM Fouzy & Ustaz Jalaluddin Hassan
- Dhikrullah led by Shaykh Hisham Kabbani
- Qasidah & Salawat recitals/performances by the Haqqani Malaysia Ensemble
- Qawwali recital by A. Jainullabidin Faizi
- Devotional Poetry recitals by Art Fazil & Friends

SimplyIslam.sg offers Islamic studies classes during the weekends for school-going children and youths (ages 7 to 17). All our classes and programs are conducted in English.

SimplyIslam.sg is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to be part of our vibrant team as Curriculum Development Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and enhance the curriculum and teaching materials for all levels of learning at SimplyIslam.
- Develop oral and written assessments and project work for students.
- Conduct lessons (teach).
Prospective candidates should have the following requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Studies.
- A good command of English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Experience in teaching. Early childhood qualification and teaching experience would be an advantage.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

SimplyIslam is organising a special workshop for youths (15 to 20 years old). The Youth Rabbani workshop aims to instill self-confidence, wisdom and self-motivation among the youths, while at the same time inspiring a pragmatic vision and a clear outlook of life. The workshop will also instill an integrated and holistic relationship with Allah & His Messenger and Islam. This is the 3rd run of the same course conducted by Dato’ Aidit in Singapore previously.

Chief Trainer - Dato’ Aidit Ghazali
The Chief Trainer for the workshop is the eminent Dato’ Aidit Ghazali, Principal Consultant of Akademi Aidit Sdn Bhd, and Advisor to SimplyIslam.sg. Dato’ Aidit is regularly invited to speak and lecture in Singapore by Mosques and Muslim organisations.
