- What if my child is not up to his level in his Islamic Education?
Insha’Allah through our interactive methods of conducting the lessons you child will be able to keep up with the lessons. However, your child will be assessed on Qur’anic recitation and be placed in the level according to his reading ability. - Do you teach Qur’an reading?
Yes, Qur’an reading is an important component for SimplyIslam’s weekend Islamic school’s curriculum. Only for Qur’an reading classes, the students will be divided according to their Qur’an reading ability. However, we urge parents to take note that the Qur’an classes at SimplyIslam alone will NOT be sufficient for them to efficiently read the Qur’an. We encourage parents to enrol their children with specialised Qur’an reading classes organised by established individuals or private centres. Our teachers may provide such advice to you if necessary. - I have two children studying in the same level; can I just buy 1 set of books?
We prefer for each child to have a set of books. We don’t encourage sharing as from past experience, we observed that children tends to get distracted and don’t pay attention when they share books. - If I have some of the books on your list can I opt not to buy them from you?
Yes, you need not purchase them. Please indicate your request in the order form. - I can’t afford the fees and books for my child to attend the madrasah, does SimplyIslam provide assistance?
Insha’Allah, efforts will be made to subsidise the school fees for families who are in financial distress. Availability of financial aid depends on the amount allocated to the student welfare fund, as well as the generosity of private donors. - Do we have to pay SimplyIslam’s school fees during the school holidays when some of the weeks do not have classes?
The fees for the weekend Islamic school is currently $50 per month, and is required to be paid even during the term break (e.g. June and December) as the school has to maintain its existence and costs even during such periods. The fees will help to defray typical operational costs, rental and so on. This procedure is no different from such found in public schools and other private centres. We appreciate your kind understanding in this matter.
